KENNETH J. DOKA, PhD, is a professor of counseling and a leading authority on issues involving death, dying, and grief. He has edited or written over 35 acclaimed books on death-related subjects. Additionally, Dr. Doka was president and chair of the Association for Death Education and Counseling and the International Work Group on Death, Dying, and Bereavement. He is a senior consultant and speaker for the Hospice Foundation of America. Dr. Doka was honored with the Herman Feifel Award and the rarely-presented Special Contributions to the Field Award from the Association for Death Education and Counseling.
