Betty Shotton is a lifelong leader, CEO and serial entrepreneur. She has founded and led six companies and two regional air carriers, SouthEast Air and SeaAir. One of approximately 850 women in the US with an ATP rating (Air Transport Pilot), she periodically joined the flight teams as a commercial pilot.
Betty is a graduate of the University of Virginia, from the first class of women admitted to the once all-male school. She completed her MBA in Marketing & Human Resources at Virginia Commonwealth University. Betty lives on Ocracoke Island and in Black Mountain, North Carolina, with her husband, Chris Hyland.
